Ready to Drive...Don't Leave Me Yet

Hey bloggers! So, recently, my big brother turned 16! And you know what that means. Exactly. He got his permit. So he can drive now with an adult in the car. And personally, it scares me. Not because he's driving and could possily kill me. He's actually a pretty good driver for a 16 year old. But it scares me because, you go off to college when your 18...he's 16. I'm just not ready for him to leave yet. I mean, he's my big brother! He has been with me since the day I was born. I remember playing jokes on him once when we were really little. My dad went downstairs to get ready for work and me and my brother were eating cereal. And I was pestering him and just being annoying. And him being the sweet little boy he was, just picked up his cereal bowl, and walked away. Without saying a word to me. But he didn't leave right away. I was bothering him for a little while.

And when I saw him for the first time sit in that drivers seat on the main road, driving, I had this flood of flashbacks to me and him when we were little. Playing with Star Wars action figures, riding bikes, playing video games, watching tv, building forts in my bedroom...where did it all go? Only two more years and he'll be off to college!! I'm not ready for him to go. I mean, where did the time go?! One minute he's pretending to talk on a Darth Vadar cell phone, now he's texting on his iPhone. I miss it.

Psalms 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
